About the Role
The Community Planning Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of the Community Planning Program and working with communities across the LGA to produce community plans for our 18 identified communities.
The purpose of the Community Planning Coordinator will develop community capacity building through the development of plans that engages and empowers the community to collaborate and co-design the future of their communities with Council through a variety of engagement methods and planned processes.
This will be an intensive role where daily activities include planning and coordinating the role out of the 18 community plans, engaging with the communities to achieve a level of support for the development of the plans. Working with the Community Council Action teams to assist in the development and delivery of the plans. Coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team within Council to support the development and implementation of the plans. The role will spend a great deal of time immersed in the 18 communities to empower them to deliver the place they would like to see into the future.
To be successful in this role you will need to love working with the community and have a desire develop new and innovative ways to get all members of our communities involved in framing the ways in which their places are developed.
This is a full time, temporary role for up to 12 months, with remuneration in the range of $82,251.50-$92,581.90 per annum (depending on skills and experience), plus 9.5% superannuation. The role is 35 hour a week, with access to Council’s Flexible Working Hours policy.
